This round trip takes you to the Dent de Valerette at 2,058 meters above sea level and allows you to admire a grandiose panorama in summer and in winter. The summit is easily accessible and it overlooks the beautiful Rhône valley in the canton of Valais as well as the Val d'Illiez and offers a magnificent view over the whole of Chablais.

This trail starts at the end of the Route de Chindonne and comes through open terrain at the foot of the Dent de Valere and then on to the Signal de soi peak at 2054m. After a short time the path reaches an area close to the foot of the Plan Névé glacier at the Cabane d'Antème hut and then continues hiking to the Cabane de Susanfe hut at 2102m. Access to the hike is via the middle road. At the start you will find a refuge which offers catering. The path is magnificent, it traverses the crests of the Dents du Midi. However, it is reserved for experienced hikers since it takes place between 2,500 and 2,000 meters. This route is therefore not recommended in winter!

This beautiful outing starts in Chindonne which can be reached either by road or via the facilities (in winter) from Les Giettes. To the east of Saint-Maurice are two peaks, Dent de Valerette and Dent de Valère, which offer a view of the entire canton of Valais and the full Rhone. The Dent de Valerette is at an altitude of 2059 meters and the Dent de Valère at 2267 meters.

This trail is a nice hike for an afternoon. It starts at the end of the paved road of the Route de Chindonne and then you come through the cultivated landscape. Then follow the trail along the foot of the Dent de Valère. After a few kilometers you reach the top of the Signal de Sol at 2054m and then you continue to the Cabane d'Antème hut.
