A very nice hike starting from Stuls - Stulles, where you can park directly by the small church. The trail starts in front of the church and leads on Urweg Jaufenkamm 16 through flowery meadows, shady larch forests and over wide farm trails in large switchbacks to the Hochalm Hut (2174 m). This is a rather difficult hike to the summit of Matatzspitze at 2179 meters. From the Kratzegerhof car park, take a wide road to a bridge over the Saldern stream. From here a short climb to the Ulfanger Alm follows. Then cross lush meadows, among alpine roses, tall larch trees and constantly climbing cowbells through an impressive landscape.
