There is a large parking lot for this route, located off Highway 17. The walk to the falls is short. This route then climbs rapidly up to the Lake Nipissing Lookout. From there, there rest of the route is a smooth downhill to the Duchesnay Creek, and back to the falls. There are plenty of side trails offer great options to further explore the area.

This route starts by the Grawbarger's Rapids. A short trail leads to the beginning of the loop, crossing woods of symmetrically planted trees that make for photogenic views. The loop explores the woods of the Restoule Provincial Park to the south of the Restoule Lake. A fire tower offers great views of the area.

A self-guided 2.75 km interpretive trail details the natural and human history of the area, including a log slide and dam built on the property in the 1870s for the Mackey Lumber Company. The highlights of this trail are the waterfalls and the surrounding open rock face of the Gorge, and the whitewater rapids found on either side.
