Basket Swamp, formerly known as Sandywoods, is a 96 acre forest purchased in July 2009 from Dr. Joseph Bossom and Mika Seeger. The property follows the stream corridor of Adamsville Brook, a principal tributary of the West Branch of the Westport River. Part of the RI Walks Challenge. The area is managed by the Tiverton Land Trust.

This 210 acre reserve abuts the Copicut reservoir and is near the SE Mass Bioreserve and other protected lands. Several easy-to-moderate loop trails provide access to some very pretty terrain and opportunities for viewing wildlife. While some parts of the green and blue trails can be narrow and rocky, especially on the hillside, the dirt road which bisects the property provides a gentle access or return from all other trails.
