This trail is one of the City of Oak Ridge Greenway trails and feels amazingly remote for most of the hike. The hike offers an opportunity for solitude and to view wildlife. There are a number of access points which can be used to modify the hike. This hike is from the Endicott Lane access to Key Springs Road and return. The best views are in the fall and winter.

This is a beautiful trail that runs along Melton Hill Lake. There is connecting access to Emory Valley Greenway at the 1-mile mark heading south. Accessibility: There are 6 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Melton Lake Drive at the north end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. In addition to the greenway trail at Melton Hill Park, there are several miles of natural surface trails that make a series of loops around the park. The mowed meadow trail begins north of the swimming beach, paralleling the greenway trail. On your way around, there will be a spur trail to connect to the adjacent loop which heads over to the eastern boat dock, weaving through the meadows in that section.
