Hotel De Bilderberg

Walking route through Landgoed Oorsprong and over the Zilverberg. Two beautiful walking areas full of wildlife, birds, mushrooms, various trees and plants. The walk takes you along monumental roads in the places where a country house once stood. Most of the route leads through the forests of the former estates, but you also walk over the grasslands in the middle. You will not come across any catering establishments during this walk.

Short circular walk through the Bilderberg forests. Walk along sunken roads lined with old trees and along a small moorland.

Loop around the Oorsprongbeek, one of the streams of the De Hemelse Berg estate. Soon you pass the old hut and the impressive spring of the river. Several waterfalls have been built in the river, of which the one near the cave house is the most special. This is meters high and here you can walk behind the water. You walk through dense forests along the river and cross the water with wooden bridges. You will come across some information boards along the way.

The Airborne Walking Tour is an annually organized walking event. It is a memorial walking tour that commemorates the 1944 Battle of Arnhem. Four different walking routes ranging from 10 to 40 kilometers are hiked, each passing monuments and memorial sites, including the war cemetery. With this walking route you follow part of the Perimeter route, one of the historic walks of the Airborne Museum (https://www.airbornemuseum.nl/wandelen-2). The area played an important role in the Battle of Arnhem, and you partly walk over the front line. Traces of the war are still visible, along the way you will come across information boards. With this route you also walk an extra round through the Valckeniersbossen, where you pass restaurant De Westerbouwing.
