This is a beautiful trail with some neat historical significance. It’s a piece of Philly sports history. Good for trail running, walking and even bikes. You'll have nice views of the river throughout the path.

This trail is popular for mountain biking. Start at Chamonix Mansion in Fairmount Park. There are three trailheads at the mansion - two to the left of the mansion and one to the right of the mansion. Take either trailhead to the left of the mansion. Not much evidence of the old trolley line, but early on there is a brick tunnel. The rest of the way mostly parallels a small stream with twists and turns on a path that runs alongside some playing fields.
