The route starts in Pontresina at the train station directly at the Stazerwald forest and then it leads directly through the forest in the direction of Lake St.Moritz. It follows the forest paths to Surlej and then at about the level of Lake Silvaplana it goes through open terrain up to the Margun Surovel and down again on the other side. Then it follows the Ova da Roseg stream back to Pontresina.

This path meanders through the Val Roseg and ends at the hotel of the same name, where visitors can enjoy delicious dishes and also spend the night. The route crosses wild plains surrounded by mountains and glaciers and runs along the Ova da Roseg. In winter it is possible to ride in a sleigh pulled by horses.

The Val Roseg is an alpine high valley and side valley of the Val Bernina in the canton of Graubünden. This beautiful valley is 12 km long and the highest point is the gorgeous Lej da Vadret at 2160 m above sea level. The glacial lake is only 4 km from the Italian border and is fed by the Roseg glacier (Vadret da Roseg).
