This primarily cycling trail starts from the FKK camp Kanegra towards the village of Sveta Marija on the Karst. The trail leads to a sharper and more demanding ascent towards the village of Valica and continues towards the village of Barboj where it turns towards Sveta Marija on the Karst, passing macadam to the village. The trail goes back the same way.

The Istrian Mountaineering Route (IPP) is a route that connects the most beautiful mountains and landscapes in Istria. The total length is about 153 km and can be covered in eight one-day stages. Stage 1 begins immediately after leaving the old part of the settlement Crveni Vrh (Monte Rosso), and ends in Grožnjan, a small Istrian town of great cultural importance.

The trail starts from Kanegra and follows Parenzana all the way along the border with Slovenia, descending through the forest along the Dragonja River all the way to the settlement of Škrilje. From Škrilje the trail ascends towards the village of Kaldanija and returns to Kanegra following Parenzana. The trail is pleasant to run and along the way there are beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Parenzana is a narrow-gauge railway that ran through northwestern Istria from 1902 to 1935 and connected Trieste and Poreč. The entire route of Parenzana is lined with unique places and towns, such as the "city of artists" Grožnjan and Završje, the most beautiful medieval town in Istria, Motovun, all the way to another important Istrian historical town, Vižinada.
