This property has been home to a military fort for more than 275 years. The fort is named after Major Andrew McClary who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. The fort was manned during the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish-American War, and WWI. The park is closed in the winter months but visitors can still walk the grounds
