This route is the second stage of the GR® de Pays du Cap Sizun, a hike that goes around Cap Sizun and the Pointe du Raz. This stage begins in the town of Plozévet, and crosses the Breton countryside to reach the town of Douarnenez, a town where the kouign-amann pastry was invented.

The GR®34, also called "Sentier des Douaniers", is a Great Hike in France that borders all of Brittany's coasts. It was voted "France's favorite GR® in 2018". This segment covers only part of its 2000km total distance from the rocky islet to Saint-Nazaire. You will find many hotels, lodges and bed and breakfasts along the way. This 38.46 kilometer loop can be done on foot or by bike. You will leave from the village of Tréogat in Finistère to reach Pointe de la Torche a little further south. You will crisscross the country roads and the small Breton villages on the way there and on the way back. You will have a beautiful view of the Plage de la Torche and the Plage de Pors-Carn where you will turn around to return to your starting point in Tréogat.
