This loop leads through the forest, past a pond, the lake, and crosses multiple streams (so expect to get your feet wet). The trail is mostly flat with the most notable hill along the route starting about a mile into the loop. Wildlife such as woodpeckers, ducks, turtles, frogs, and snakes can be spotted in the area.

This trail connects Princeton's Greenway Meadows and Woodfield Reservation public parks via the Ettl Farm Trail along the Stony Brook and some lightly trafficked residential streets.
