You begin on the side of the Huanacaxtle-Punta de Mita highway and in 650 meters you will arrive at La Lancha beach where you will walk on the soft sand. Perfect to visit at any time of the day, especially at sunset when you can appreciate the sky that looks like a work of art.
Activities
Features
This beach is a hidden gem. It is a bit isolated, and can be a bit difficult to access by vehicle. But the sand and water are clean and beautiful, and it's suitable for surfing too. There are not many services like restrooms or restaurants, but this beach is for those who prefer less touristy beaches anyway.
Activities
Features
Beautiful short trail through the jungle of Nayarit with dense vegetation that provides long stretches of shade, making the hike cool and bearable on hot days. This trail starts at Plaza Higuera Blanca and is very well marked with white spots painted on the trees to mark the trail and some areas with a white x to tell you it's the wrong trail. From the top you can enjoy the spectacular views of the bay. The end is somewhat steep.

The blissful "Riviera Nayarit" is known for its pretty coastal towns, remote beaches, and verdant jungle. The top of Cerro el Mono will give you beautiful views of the entire area, and the path, although a bit steep, is well marked. There are two trails to the top of the hill; this route takes you from the town of Litbú. You follow Patzcuaro street from the beaches and there you will find the beginning of the trail where the street turns south towards the highway.
