BASTIDE DE RAMATUELLE

Beautiful mountain bike route, mostly in the forest, around the Provençal village of Ramatuelle, in the Var department. Part of this route is located in the Port-Cros National Park. Along the way, you will have beautiful panoramas of the Mediterranean Sea, the islands of Port-Cros and Le Levant, as well as the beautiful sandy beach of Pampelonne.

This walk follows a path in the forest and in a vineyard, called the path of Patapans, which is located on the heights of the Provençal village of Ramatuelle, near the famous seaside resort of Saint-Tropez, in the department of Var. This hike begins to the north-east of Gassin, a village voted one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Gassin, a typical Mediterranean village, offers a splendid view of the peninsula of Saint-Tropez, as well as the Massif des Maures. Its narrow streets with evocative names carry with them the traces of a tumultuous past, such as the "Passage des Templiers", the "Porte des Sarrazins" or the "Passage du Guet".
