Feuriger Tatzlwurm

Varied circular hike near Bayrischzell in the Upper Bavarian Alps. The view from the peak of Brünnstein and the location of the mountain are incomparable. Challenging hike worth every step. Wonderful views and beautiful idyllic hiking trails. From Rosengasse it goes to Rosengassenalm, along the Jägerwand to the saddle between Klein and Grosse Traithen. On the way back you come along the Unterberger Joch, Steintraithen / Steilner yoke and past the dilapidated Fellalm.

A hike with incredible views, beautiful forests and wildflowers along the way. The starting point is the Rosengasse car park. The path climbs relatively steadily and leads past many alpine pastures. Once at the top is the Brünnstein Chapel. From the Brünnstein summit, head north to the Peterskopf and Paulskopf, which are a little higher. Snow is to be expected in winter, but with the right equipment the route is still feasible.

Starting point is the car park at the Auerbach (on the B 307 coming from Tatzelwurm directly after the second branch to Rosengasse and the bridge). From there back over the bridge, then immediately left and up to Schweinsteigeralm. Turn right here and slightly downhill to the Kelheim hut.
