This hike starts east of the charming town of Ribeauvillé. The route crosses the Strengbach and follows the Forstweg. Among other things, it passes through the Herrengarten, formerly called Blauelhof or Blauelhofgarten, and dating from the 17th century. A few places of interest can be found in the vicinity of this route, including the Château de Saint-Ulrich and the Rocher de la Paix in Udine, which culminates at an altitude of 902 m.
