This is a section of the Brazos River Trail that leads along the shore of the river and through beautiful forested areas. The hike is relatively easy and flat, making this a great choice for families looking to get a bit of exercise in. The route continues under the bridge, in case you wish to extend your route.

This is a gravel trail around Sugar Land Memorial Park. At the southern end of the trail there is a short pump track that is the perfect place for new mountain bikers or BMX'ers to develop their skills or for more advanced riders to challenge themselves on the multiple TTFs (technical trail features). This trail starts out as a paved path and eventually becomes a packed dirt trail. The trail passes by a bird watching platform, a viewpoint of the White Lake, an old cemetery, along the Oyster Creek. You might encounter various wildlife including snakes, armadillos, rabbits and deer depending on the time of day. You will also pass by a large and old pecan tree, the 23rd largest tree in Texas. There are many different paths to take for variety as well.

Some of the many features in the park include an observation tower, nature trails, restrooms, a boardwalk with a scenic overlook, as well as educational signage throughout the park.

This is a great area to visit for those who want a serene experience by a creek and many opportunities to view wildlife. During migration, painted and indigo buntings, cardinals, wrens and more love the area along the creek. There are lots of armadillos and fireflies at sunset during the summer months.
