The start of this hiking trail is in the car park near the Notre-Dame-de-Victoires church in Roanne in the Loire department. This route draws a loop that runs along the course of the Loire as well as that of the Canal between Roanne and Dijon. A course without particular difficulty.

The route continues through Mably, Saint-Léger-sur-Roanne, Parc Beaulieu and the Château de Beaulieu, before returning to the starting point.
