This hike begins in the magnificent little medieval town of Rocamadour, a village clinging to a cliff above the Alzou canyon, in the Lot department. In the village, you can admire a castle, the Saint-Sauveur basilica and its many chapels. Along the way, you will cross forests on the heights of Rocamadour, and you will pass by the mill of Roquefraiche.

This sixth section of the GR®46 connects Rocamadour in the Lot to Saint-Projet in the Tarn et Garonne. This route crosses the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park between causses and valleys to discover its magnificent natural and historical heritage. Along the way you will discover Rocamdour in the Alzou valley, as well as Saint-Cirq-Lapopie in the Lot valley.
