This multi-use trail starts from a dirt pullout along Highway 11. From the trailhead, follow the well-maintained trail North through a mixed forest, towards Crimson Lake. This trail passes Twin Lakes and crosses a small stream before reaching the beautiful Crimson Lake. There is nothing technical along this trail, but the distance will make the journey challenging.

This trail to Twin Lake is a nice easy walk through the trees. There are good outhouse facilities and ample parking at the trailhead. Most of the trail is fairly wide and also accommodates mountain bikers. Once at the lake there are picnic benches and a bathroom as well. It's a good little stretch of the legs if you're driving a long distance. No horses or motor vehicles are allowed on this trail. All-terrain/jogging strollers or motorized wheelchairs may be needed on this trail.

A beautiful and serene trail around the popular Crimson Lake. This loop follows a well-maintained trail through a mixed forest with some vistas of the lake. The trail sees a number of visitors due to its ease and beauty. There are some ups and downs but nothing to break a sweat. There are benches, washrooms and viewpoints scattered around the loop. During the winter, this trail can be used on snowshoes.

There is an obvious wide trail from the parking area all the way to the Eagle Lake. You can turn around here, or continue past the end of Eagle Lake and zip up to James Falls - it is a beautiful little side trip. This trail does not go through the corrals located just off of the trunk road. The trail starts on the south side of the James River. No motorized traffic permitted through corrals.
