This route is the fifteenth stage of the GR®422, a great hike in the Dauphinois region, between the cities of Lyon and Valence. This stage begins in the town of Romans-sur-Isère, then follows the Isère to reach the charming village of Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, passing by the Vanelle footbridge.

Itinerary on foot or by bike in the town of Romans-sur-Isère and in the surrounding countryside, starting from the Pont Vieux, in the town centre. Much of this route runs along the Isère river, passing through the Quatre Piliers greenway at the Passerelle des Ors. You will also cross the village of Granges-les-Beaumont.

Walk in the middle of century-old trees in the Bois des Naix, in the heart of the small town of Bourg-de-Péage. Along the way, you will follow the Bourne canal and the Charlieu stream, and you will be able to see the banks of the Isère. In the park, you will find a health course, games for children and an orientation course.

Walk in the woods, in the slopes of Mours, in the department of Drôme. Along the way, you will follow the river La Savasse, and you will pass in front of the beautiful castle of Salmard, a private castle classified as a Historic Monument where 139 Jews were hidden during the Second World War.
