Second part of a visit to Lake Constance. The start and finish was Lindau. 2nd stage from Rorschach in Switzerland to Constance It is a beautiful circuit that even inexperienced families and families with children can do in 5 days (every day is a stage). The trails are away from the roads on well-groomed cycle paths or on small paths not used by cars. There are no big slopes. The Lake Constance cycle path is well signposted and runs close to the shore.

This route is a great cycling trip in the St. Gallen region.

After a detailed tour of the city of Lindau, we leave Germany for Austria. In Bregenz you have the option of taking a detour to the Pfänder by cable car (panoramic view over Lake Constance, zoo, restaurant). In any case, you have to see the great floating stage (picture) at the exit of Bregenz. The bike tour goes right past it. Now you drive through beautiful meadow landscapes and after crossing the mouth of the Rhine into Lake Constance towards Switzerland. In Switzerland we continue on...

The first stage continues with an ascent to the climatic health resort of Heiden. From there you can enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Constance. Via Rehetobel it goes down to Chastenloch and ends in Trogen. The trail starts in Rorschach at the harbor and leads partly along the shore and partly along the main road Neuseeland along the waterline. One is able to quickly get a good overview and it is worth a trip by bike. The trail passes the Hörnlibach outdoor pool as well as the Speck outdoor pool and at the small city of Staat the path then turns off towards the small nature reserve around the Rheinholz forest. After a short time then the Rheineck train station as the trail destination is reached.
