Varied loop in Salzburger Land. The path initially runs along the Saalach and through the fields and meadows surrounding it. In Mayrhofen, look for the Zwieselbach, which leads backwards towards Backwinkl, so that from there you can take the path to the chapel near Lichtenberg Castle. Now there is still a good bit of ascent to the Steinalm, from where you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. The descent leads through the forest to Obsmarkt, Saalfelden and finally back to the starting...

Alpine nature is not the only focus on the circuit around the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge. In a unique project, international artists created 24 sculptures and installations along the route together with children and young people from the region. The Sculpture Cycle Path runs between the communities of Leogang, Hochfilzen, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, Waidring, Lofer, St. Martin bei Lofer, Weißbach and Saalfelden and is also an additional loop to the Tauern Cycle Path.

Family-friendly hiking tour in Salzburg near Saalfelden on the Steinernen Meer. The picturesque hike leads along the Buchweissbach, which winds its way through the gorge, to an impressive waterfall. The path is easy to walk on and pram-friendly. You can also swim right after the parking lot, but the water is very cold and there are strong currents. ------ Accessible by bus and train

This fantastic tour begins at the parking lot in Bachwinkl and leads over a few hairpin bends to the Peter-Wiechenthaler-Hütte. The trail continues along to the top of the Persailhorn, which offers incredible views of the surrounding region. On the way back to the car park you pass the Steinalm before you meet the Zwieselbach and follow it to the car.
