The trail starts in Saas-Almagell and then one hikes past the Almagelleralp at 2194m and then through open terrain. It then continues over the Grundberg and leads through mostly flat terrain until it reaches Gspon. It is a terrain, partly rocky, without much shelter, where you are exposed to the sun, especially in summer. So please don't forget to bring adequate sun protection and water.
