This delightful loop allows an incursion into the lands of the Basque Country by beautiful hilly roads. It crosses typical villages, lakes and even crosses passes, modest, but full of charm. It is a tour between sea and mountain, rich in history, ideal for a morning exercise.

From Saint-Jean-de-Luz to Hendaye, the route runs along the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and enjoys beautiful views of the protected cove of Socoa. Afterwards, the spectacular and panoramic Corniche road guides you to the large Hendaye beach. To fully appreciate it, prefer the early hours of the day to free yourself from heavy traffic. Be careful, narrow road and heavy traffic.

A good climb at the exit of Saint-Jean-de-Luz allows you to reach the residential district of Sainte-Barbe. At high speed, we then descend to Erromardie beach, the first cove where swimming is offered to the provident cyclist (bring your swimsuit and towel!). Then come the beaches of Lafitenia and Cenitz, which means that there are many opportunities for a dip. Finally, the port and the village of Guéthary add a picturesque note to this stage.

The start of this route is in the car park located in the immediate vicinity of the Saint-Jean-de-Luz hare in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. This route runs along the Grande Plage then that of the Flots Bleus before finally reaching the tip of Sainte-Barbe. A hillside route in this emblematic city of the Basque Country.
