This route is the sixteenth stage of the GR®42, a Great Hike that goes from the town of Saint-Etienne to the seaside resort of Grau-du-Roi, via the balconies of the Rhône. This stage begins in the small town of Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres, and goes to the town of Villeneuve-les-Avignon in Greater Avignon.

Cycling route in the wood of Saint-Victor, a forest of holm oak, junipers and conifers in the Gard department. The route begins in the charming village of Saint-Victor-la-Coste, in the middle of a scrubland surrounded by vineyards. In the forest you can still see traces of Roman chariot wheels.

Hike between vineyards and scrubland, which passes by the ruins of a Castellas, which are the remains of a citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the Val de Tave. You will have beautiful views from the Castellas. You will also cross the authentic Provençal village of Saint-Victor-la-Coste.

Hike on the lands of Provence Occitane, on the plateau of Lacau, which takes you to the remains of an ancient Gallo-Roman city, called the Camp de César. You will also pass in front of the ruins of the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Jean de Rouzigue, which probably dates from the 11th century. You will have beautiful views of the Cèze and Tave valleys.

On the way, you will pass by the chemin de la Graisse, the chemin Font Manime, the chemin des Roumanières, as well as the chemin d'Aramon.
