Activities
Features
Welcome to Saint-Quentin, the southernmost of the Flemish cities. A city of Art and History, Saint-Quentin stands out above all for its mixture of styles, between the Gothic splendour of the basilica and the town hall and the Art Deco style in all its splendour.
Activities
Features
Between the marshes of the Somme, which it follows for a long time, and the Vermand countryside, this hike offers varied landscapes and runs through micro-valleys with evocative names: valley of Oats, valley of Cherry trees, Walnut trees or woods from Artois. After Fontaine-lès-Clercs and its lock often animated by the passage of boats, we leave the Somme for the sunken paths of the Pâturelle.
Activities
Features
Starting from the Art Deco chapel of Oestres, between town and countryside, this walk along the water follows different communication routes: the Saint-Quentin canal (which connects the Somme and Oise rivers basins to the Escaut basin), an old railway line and farm tracks.
Activities
Features
This hiking or running route is suitable for family outings. Departing from the station in the town of Saint-Quentin, hikers will follow the Canal de Saint-Quentin, also skirting the Somme. At the lock, just before Rue du Pont, hikers will turn around and retrace their steps to Saint-Quentin.
