This route is the sixth stage of the GR®223, a Great Hike which is also called the Tour du Cotentin, which goes from the village of Berville-sur-Mer in the Eure to Mont-Saint-Michel in the Manche. This stage begins at the Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue marina, then runs along the coast to the Gatteville lighthouse, located on the tip of Barfleur.
