This paved route travels through many scenic areas along the Salado Greenway. The path is a relatively easy trail with no bathrooms or water fountains so plan ahead. There is limited scenery except for broad open fields and the route parallels a highway for the majority of the way. There are lots of segments across roads and there is limited shade.

This is a short family-friendly loop that is located at Walker Ranch Historic Landmark Park. This area is great for those with little children or visitors with pets who want to get out and exercise. The beginning of this trail is along a paved path that turns into a natural surface along the Blue Loop. The trail then routes into the woods along the Dances with Trees Trail which is primarily a mountain biking trail over a single-track. Those who wish to extend their route can continue along the Blue Loop.

This loop extends from the Ecology Center over to the Salado Creek side of Hardberger Park. The following trails are used in this route: Savanna Loop, Land Bridge, Water Loop, Geology Loop, Salado Creek Greenway, and Savannah Loop Bypass Trail. This is a great location for a first hike, and there is something for everyone to enjoy along this trail.
