This is a nice and simple trail that is well-traveled and marked. There are markers for the Bear Grass Trail at the top of the Red Oak Trail. The path is a combination of pavement and natural terrain. There are several steep areas that can be challenging. This area tends to become muddy after heavy rainfall and it is best enjoyed during dry conditions.

This is a very enjoyable route that is located just north of San Antonio. The whole family will find something to enjoy along this trail that is relatively easy to navigate with a few rocky sections.
