A pleasant excursion that takes place in a loop in the Bosco Difesa di San Matteo, starting from the Convent of San Matteo Apostolo. The route proceeds on the path that runs alongside the panoramic provincial road and passes through Montenero (1015m). All trails are well marked. The itinerary reaches the Cutinelli barracks and then takes the Fajarma path which returns to the starting point.

A beautiful excursion to visit the Grava di Zazzano, inside the Gargano Natural Park. The route starts from Borgo Celano, where it is possible to park the car and drive along the SP22 provincial road, crossing the San Matteo Wood until it crosses the path that reaches the Grava di Zazzano. A large rocky funnel formed by fractured and landslide walls with a depth of about 95m.

The trail leaves San Giovanni by taking the SS272 to Monte Sant'Angelo and after proceed on the SP43 that leads to Cagnano. After 500m there is a detour with an asphalted road on the left. The road loses the asphalt after 700m and continues with a beautiful sheep track bordered by a dry stone wall that passes in front of the ruins of the church of Sant'Egidio and then descends into the homonymous plain where the asphalt begins.
