A beautiful circular hike framed by the imposing peaks of the Sarntal Alps. It begins in Sankt Johann | San Giovanni in the Waltental valley and leads through an increasingly barren valley along the Rio Sala. At its source, path no. 12A leads to the small Seebergsee | Il Laghetto and the nearby Seeberg Alm. It continues through an idyllic forest to the Wanseralm | Malga Vannes and along the Waltnerbach | Rio Valtina back to the starting point.

The start of the trail is at the bus stop "Römerkehre" in the direction of the Jaufenpass. From there it is well signaled as the great high-altitude trail, which goes by the Falkner hut and then leads to the highest point of the tour, the Glaitner Hochjoch at just over 2300m. If you have strength and endurance you can also reach the Falkner and Saxner peaks beforehand. We recommend taking a detour after the Hochjoch in the direction of the lake Übelsee. This elementary summit of 2,480 meters can be reached in an hour of path and easy rocks starting from the Jaufenpaß-Passo Giovo pass, in Val Passiria. It is a modest climb with 400 meters in altitude. Nothing really mountaineering, but at some point it serves a firm footing and no vertigo.
