This short and pleasant route is perfect for a run or just a leisurely walk to enjoy the beautiful and colorful streets of San Miguel de Allende. You'll enjoy some elevation gain for a good workout, and beautiful views of the city from the plateau above the center of this magical town. Note that most of the streets are paved with cobblestones. Proper shoes must be worn.

This route explores the area south of the lake in the botanical park of San Miguel de Allende, also known as Charco del Ingenio. In this part of the park there is a lot of grass, with calm views. You will pass by the shore of the lake, where there are many reeds. There are many opportunities to see butterflies, flowers, and other wildlife.
