This trail is a favorite for the locals and have been taking people from the town of Tumanyan to Alaverdi for many years. It still serves as a primary route for shepherds and hikers today. The trail ascends from the town up over the mountains, providing sweeping views of Debed Canyon. From there it drops back down to the Debed River and takes you to the southern outskirts of Alaverdi, where you can connect to transport, or hike on to Odzun, Sanahin or other directions.
