A pleasant walk in the Stelvio National Park, starting from Santa Caterina. The route takes place in a clockwise loop following the Sentiero delle Cappellette. This excursion is very nice to do in winter with snow, without the need for more equipment, even if trekking poles could be useful on sections with ice.

The first part of this route reaches the Forni Refuge. You can avoid this first climb with 500 meters of elevation gain by using the Alpin taxi service that transports bicycles. From here the path continues steeply uphill with hairpin bends and long tironi until it reaches Molinelli (1943 m), where there is a beautiful waterfall and an area equipped with some tables and benches. A demanding route, which can be done by bicycle in the Zebrù Valley, in the Stelvio Park, starting from Santa Caterina. The route proceeds on the path that reaches the village of Sant'Antonio, and then begins to climb across the Zebrù Valley until it reaches the Campo Refuge (1988m). From here it is possible to decide to stay overnight at the Refuge and return to the starting point the following day.

The itinerary reaches San Pietro and then the Bormio 2000 ski resort and then descends and returns to the starting point.

Hike with a good elevation that ends on a plateau at 2356m. The trail is not very wide but well maintained with as a bonus signs along the route with pretty phrases that do good. Be careful not to take the wrong path on the way back because there are two starting from the same place.
