A beautiful but demanding excursion, starting from the Abbey of San Salvatore, covering a first stretch of road and then following the path towards Monte Amiata (1738m). From here you can admire a beautiful view, you can find refreshment at the La Vetta restaurant and if you continue for a few meters you will arrive at the Madonna degli Scout.

A nice trail that can be made hiking or by bicycle, starting from Piancastagnaio, near the municipal stadium and following an initial stretch of provincial road and then proceeding in a clockwise loop. The hike is challenging but very rewarding for the scenery. The route mostly takes place on paths inside the wood, skirting the town of Abbadia San Salvatore and the Green Lake on the way back.
