The Mont de Stevia (Stevia mountain) is a very popular destination among the Val Gardena locals, as it is easily accessible during most of the year. The top offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding Dolomites and Val Gardena. This route begins in the center of Selva and leads along the Troi Palota path to the Stevia Hut (2312m).

A beautiful route for the whole family starting from the center of Selva in Val Gardena. First it goes up to Daunëi, where the Via Crucis (way of the cross) begins. This leads through the woods to the St. Sylvester's Chapel in Vallunga. Then it continues on path no. 14, passing the Ciampac Hut, and then climbing to the "Sai Uedli" panoramic point. This offers a spectacular view of Selva and the entire Val Gardena. A short but steep descent leads back to the starting point.

Proceed on the Troi Palota path which climbs up to Monte Stevia and the Forcella della Piza (2489m), with a splendid view. A very nice hike starting from Selva | Wolkenstein. The path is steep at the beginning, but the view from Stevia Hut (2312 m) repays the effort. From the hut, return along the path towards Forcella San Silvestro | Silvesterscharte (2280m) to continue in a circular route passing near the Juac Hut (1905m).
