A bicycle path that leads from Senj with a steady ascent towards Vrataruša, which is located on the slopes of Velebit, from where there is a beautiful view of the Kvarner islands. The macadam path descends back towards Senj and the road offers beautiful views, especially during the sunset. The trail rejoins the paved road and continues to Senj.

The fortress is open to visitors from May to November. The trail passes through Nehaj Park which offers a range of facilities for all ages.

The Nehaj fortress was built in 1558 as protection against the Turks. The path ascends towards the village of Rončević Dolac, from where it descends to the mountain hut, which is open by appointment.
