The short hike is suitable for the whole family and invites one to linger and enjoy. It starts off at the mountain station of the Brusino -Arsizio-Serpiano cable car. It is also possible to drive the car up. Then it goes through the forest to the top of Monte San Giorgio at 1097m. It gives great views of Lake Lugano. This beautiful trail goes from Crocifisso-Serpiano in Switzerland to Viggiù in Italy through a forest with streams and refuges with wonderful views of Lake Lugano. The ascent is rapid and arrives at Monte Pravello (1015m) where there is also the refuge of the same name. From here begins the gentle and gradual descent that passes through Monte Orsa (998m) and Monte Croce (829m). This beautiful hike can be done year-round and there is little snow or ice even in the winter.

The starting point is the port in Morcote and the path then climbs up to get a great view of Lake Lugano. Following the path Sentée dal Porcelin and then going through the cemetery to the church of Santa Maria del Sasso. The church dates from antiquity where one is able to admire frescoes from different periods and also a beautiful false dome and a 17th century organ.
