This is quick and easy path that leads visitors through the town of Eastend, along the Trans Canada Trail. There is little to no elevation gain, making it a great option for the whole family and those with mobility concerns. There are informational placards along the route that have lots of great educational info about the local flora and fauna.

This is a gorgeous trail that will take you up and down with some intense elevation for the prairies, but you will be rewarded with great views. You can also extend this multi-day backpacking trip by almost 100 kilometres from Butte to Marker 9. You will see plenty of wildlife alone this trail, including deer and coyotes in distance. Overall, this is a lovely trail.

From the parking area, follow the Eagle Butte trail towards the 70 Mile Butte trail. The 70 Mile Butte trail is one of the most popular loops in the park. Flowers bloom on this trail from early May to July. Be prepared for extreme wind at the butte tops if it's a windy day. There are beautiful views of the expansive grasslands from the top.
