This natural oasis lies in the heart of Sarasota and makes for a great quick hike for those who are short on time or want to leisurely explore the area. The park is named after the channel that runs through it, the Red Bug Slough, which provides a haven for wildlife and a variety of plant species in the area.

This is a pretty and shaded trail, featuring a boardwalk that leads to a couple of scenic lookouts over the water. It is a great area to experience wildlife along the coast such as lobster, crab, sea urchins, eel, and many shells to collect along the beach. It is a short and well-maintained path for those who want a quick hike.

This lovely beach walk has ample parking and features some scenic picnic areas along the way. The trail ranges from a long peaceful beach walk to a woodsy hike with plenty of places in between to stop, set up camp, and have a good time with friends or family. Restrooms are located at the southern end of the trail.

This is the nature loop which features a winding sandy trail through a beautiful variety of habitats. There are several sections of boardwalks that travel over wetland areas and there are many unique plant and animal species to spot along the way.
