This tour takes you along a well-known war memorial in the region. The trail was built by prisoners of war during World War II. At the top there is a reconstructed bunker that can be used for accommodation or to take a lunch break. Along the path you will find several signs with information about the war years in Storfjord. This is an easy path to follow and not too demanding with phenomenal views of the Lyngenfjord from various places along the walk. The path is marked E6/E8 "war memorial"

A beautiful, varied hike through Lyngendal along the Lyngsdalselva. The nature in the valley is impressive and in Dalbotn you can see three glaciers at the same time. Lyngsdal is a steep glacier river, especially on hot summer days and hot rainy days in autumn the river can have a lot of water. The river carries a lot of sand and moraines from the glacier which are deposited on the shore. Caution: Some of the trails run near glaciers. Do not cross them without experience.
