The hike takes you around Smögen along the coast with magnificent views of the sea. You walk on footbridges, over cliffs and around Smögen among the old buildings and the well-visited Smögenbryggan. Along the trail you pass several ponds with white and red water lilies during the season. There are also plenty of activities on Smögen, everything from hiking, fishing, kayaking to diving and climbing.

The hike takes you to the beautiful Sandön which is located west of Hasselösund next to Smögen. The trail goes around the whole island and over nice cliffs with breathtaking views of the sea. Along the trail, there is a nice swimming area with a sandy beach and small ponds with beautiful water lilies in different colors in summer. The loop follows part of the soot trail stage 7 (Kungshamn - Tullboden). The trail offers magnificent sea views over the Örnefjord and idyllic cozy houses. On this hike you walk through varying terrain of bare granite mountains with lush valleys, bogs, marshes that are partly overgrown with pine forest in the Klevekilen nature reserve and pass several idyllic coastal communities, including Hovenäset. The loop runs mostly on gravel roads and partly asphalt roads.
