The Elisaari area is known for its oak forest, and the island's nature trail introduces walkers to the area's vegetation and history. The oak forest is hundreds, or even thousands, years old, and one of the largest wild oak forests in Finland. Cows and sheep graze on the island during the summer, and white-tailed deer and moose have also been found there. The route is marked with green-white ribbons. Part of the route has duckboards and wooden stairs.

Between Karjaa and Fiskars runs Ratavalli, a unique outdoor trail that is suitable for both walking and running as well as riding and cycling. The route follows the old track bed of the coastal railway, which was discontinued in the 1990s, and the old narrow-gauge railway Pässirata. Part of the route is asphalted, but there is also a gravel-based route for riding along the entire route. There are several resting places along the way.
