This trail begins in Sankt Katharinen at the train station and then crosses the cemetery directly and then comes to the edge of the forest. The path comes along small paths and follows the Verenabach stream and then crosses the Martinsflue area. It then comes through the Einsiedelei village and then on the other bank of the stream back via St.Niklaus to St.Katharinen.

The path is an ideal path for an afternoon of walking and/or cycling. It first leads along the river Aare and then continues over the Brästenberg hill at 480m. Then it goes on over the Rehhubel and then back to the beginning. The Verena Gorge is simply beautiful and invites one to take a walk.

This tour is mostly on the road and can therefore be done on foot, by street bike or with rollerblades. The path starts in Solothurn and crosses the river Emme to get to Luterbach. One canton swell to Bern and the route ends in Wangen an der Are.

A great mountain bike tour near Solothurn in the canton of the same name. It begins in St. Niklaus near Solothurn and leads past the Verena Gorge and the hermitage there, through a dreamy forest to Galmis. Then it goes on to the Balm castle ruins and above the Wanneflue in the direction of the Bettlerküche and Farnerzahn climbing area. There are also several vantage points with a breathtaking panorama of Solothurn and the surrounding area.
