Tuelsø is a 189 ha large lake, which lies northeast of Sorø. It is the deepest lake at Sorø, with a depth of up to 18 meters and a circumference of 6 km. On the south-eastern shore lies Søskoven, where hares and pheasants have previously been seen. The lake has an inlet from Pedersborg Lake in the south, near the protected forest meadow, Flommen.
