This is a shorter version of the 12-mile roundtrip loop that extends to include the whole trail system in the park. This is a wonderful way to see the hilltop views and low-valley creeks. The trail is mostly shaded and travels through a forested area full of hickory trees, and in the springtime, the trail is lined with beautiful wildflowers.
