There is street parking available on Beach Plaza Rd, near the Caprice Resort. From here, take the short boardwalk to access the beach. The further south you travel, the less crowded the area is. The route takes you to the very end of the island, with a boardwalk that overlooks the ocean. There are many opportunities to spot coastal wildlife along the way.

This is a short paved trail that cuts through a disc golf course and offers pretty views of the area. There is a nice little observation tower to catch views of the surrounding landscape. It is a small park right alongside Interstate 275, which makes for a convenient place to get outside and is family-friendly.

This is a short but scenic loop at the Clam Bayou Park which showcases beautiful coastal green areas right in the Broadwater neighborhood. There is a boat launch access site which is great for kayakers and paddlers to explore the area by water. There are rentals available at the park as well. Tons of coastal birds can be seen around here and it is perfect for nature enthusiasts with kids.

This path takes you through the remains of Fort De Soto's Battery Laidley, featuring unique artillery and beautiful wildflowers and birdlife to observe. The area is mostly exposed to the sun with open fields perfect for lounging and enjoying the surroundings. From here, visitors can connect to the Battery Bigelow and take the pier out to a nice viewpoint.

This is a wonderful, paved trail that explores Fort De Soto. Many sections of this path are exposed and bringing sun protection is advised. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by bikers and walkers. There are many spur trails that lead from this path to beautiful views of the beach.
