The majority of this hike is along a sandy trail, which passes by dunes and through flatland ecosystems. This area serves as a bird sanctuary and there are many species that thrive in this coastal haven. If you walk this coast during the proper time of year, you may see nesting sea turtles along the shoreline.

Users recommend bringing sun protection as many sections of this trail are exposed. The trailhead provides access to water sports rental, a launch site, restrooms, outside showers, and a reservable pavilion. The trail is prone to flooding and is not recommended to travel during wet or high tide conditions.

This area preserves one of the most unique tidal ecosystems in the surrounding area. These tidal marshes serve important ecological functions and are a safe haven for many wildlife in the area. This trail leads through eight natural communities including scrubland, sandhills, upland mixed forests, freshwater tidal swamp, marsh, dome swamp, mesic flatwoods, and estuarine tidal marsh.

This route leads to the group camping site located at Moses Creek Conservation Area. Most of this route follows the white-blazed trail along a dirt track road before turning off toward the campground. This route takes the red trail to Murat's point which provides beautiful views of Moses Creek. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers.
