This path is a beautiful and pleasant walk around the Gübsensee. It starts off at the St.Gallen Bruggen railway station and relatively soon it comes to the banks of the Sitter river and then after a short time the path reaches the Gübsensee lake. One is then able to walk around the lake in peace and relax at the countless picnic spots along the way. A great and diverse trail in this densely populated landscape.

The trail starts in St.Gallen Bruggen and a short time later it goes to the beautiful Grübsensee. Then further through the cultural landscape through the open terrain over fields and meadows along the edge of the Bannwald. At Waldstatt, the trail leads over the Hochhamm hill at 1274m and then back to the beginning via Schönengrund.

The path begins in St.Gallen Haggen and then leads straight into the Wattwald forest around Riethüsli. Moving along the outskirts of St.Gallen, where one will also pass the three ponds and a little later the larger pond Wenigerweiher. The Schwarzer Bären train station is right next to the pond from where one is able to return to the starting point.

A great circular hike from Sankt Gallen Haggen to Stein in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. The path begins at the St. Gallen Haggen train station and leads past Schlössli Haggen and over the Haggen Bridge to Stein and back again. The Haggen Bridge, popularly known as "Ganggelibrugg", was built in 1936-37 for pedestrians and cyclists. She stretches over the Sitter river and got her nickname from "ganggelen", meaning to sway, as she was swaying by the load of visitors at the opening...
